I am reading Freaky Green Eyes by Joyce Carol Oates. This is a book about a high school girl dealing with her parents breaking up. It is really well written, I would definately recommend it to all girls in the high school.

I have read children's books on a computer screen, but I have never read a book of much length. I still like reading at night in bed, so I am not sure I would like reading an electronic reader that way. I would try it though, if I could do it on trial.
I am still reading The Amulet of Samarkand and it is getting REALLY good.
ReplyDeleteFor a book suggestion, maybe you could get The Red Pyramid? Or later, the newest Rick Riordan series. They are like Percy Jackson, but Percy, Grover, and Annabeth are background characters. They are coming out sometime later this year, maybe around October?
Also, I got the Kindle App for my iPod and it is pretty slick. I love it, but I need some more Amazon money for more books!
Hopefully next school year we will have a library catalog that will be accessible on-line. When that happens we will buy some ebooks for students to check out. Then you can get books from the library and read them on your computer.
ReplyDeleteRight now I am reading "Wanted" by Caroline B. Cooney. This book is a mystery and it is very mysterious. "Wanted" is a great book and the suspense is amazing. I highly recomend this book!
ReplyDeleteIam reading a book called Percy Jackson and the Lightning Theif it is a very good book about the Greek Gods. If you like adventure and history I would recommend this book to you!
ReplyDeleteI am still reading Fire. It has gotten way better. I am at the part in the book where Archer killed somebody. I would recomend this book to everybody.

ReplyDeleteI'm still reading The Perfect Shot. It is about these kids who like basketball and a robber who no-one can find and comes after them. I don't really know if I would recommend it or not because i'm not that far. I don't remember any good series I read but I think the library could have some more action books.

I finished my book, Shattered Mirror by Amelia Atwater-Rhodes, but I'm still kind of reading over it, so I do well on the test! It is a great book about vampires and witches who hunt vampires so if you like that kind of stuff, this would be a great kind of book for you!
ReplyDeleteThe book that I am reading Jackie and me. It is about a boy that collects baseball cards. He can trave back in time and see the players. So he wonts to go back in time to meet Jackie Robeson but, his dad wonts he to go back and get babe roth.

ReplyDeleteLast year I was able to go with my mom to a meeting of hers and they introduced e-books. We were able to use it for a little bit and it was awesome!!!!!!!!!!! I really hope we get some for the school.
I am still reading the City of Bones By Cassandra Clare, but I don't have much time to read.
ReplyDeleteI would recommend you read the Field of Dreams. It is a very good book for sports players.
I'm reading "Percy Jackson the Lightning thief" and it is pretty good so far. If you are looking for a good fiction and need to start a new series of good books then you should read this book
ReplyDeleteI finished my book The Awakening and the Struggle. It was very good and suspenseful. I didn't know how it was going to end. I am excited to read the next one in the series. I would recomend this book to others.

I am still reading Eagle Strike by Anthony Horowitz and it is a very good book and I would highly recommend it to others. It is very good because it has a lot of action in it. I have really enjoyed the Alex Rider books. Another good book in the series is Point Blank.
ReplyDeleteIT. This book by Stephen king is about a group of kids who have already had to face Henry Bowers, whom they thought was bad enough. But Stuttering Bill's brother, George, is eaten by IT. IT is a demon with a mix of a lizard, a spider, and a snake. It takes the form of Pennywise the clown to fool kids into his trap so that he may eat them.
ReplyDeleteI have read many of Stephen King's books. But IT is a classical phycological thriller. I reccomend this book for anyone who loves horror/mysterie.
I'm reading In the Forest of the night by Amelia Atwater-Rhodes. This book is about a vamire name Risika. She is being tourmented by something she did in the past. When she took a black rose from a vampire stronger that she is. His name is Aubrey. She had heard in church that you can sign the devil's book by blood, and since the rose drew blood her brother believed that she is now one of the devil's ceatures. I'm now at the flash back of her being bitten. I would recomend this book to anyone who likes vampires. I think this is a very good book.
ReplyDeleteI just read the book. "Grape Thief". It was very good. I liked because it felt like I was in the book. When or if you read this book you feel like your in the book, and you can see the characters. It is very realistic. I recomend it to anyone that like historical fiction and action. It might be a bigger book, but it's worth reading.
ReplyDeleteI am reading Turnabout. This is a book about two old ladies that are very old and ready to die. They participate in a top-secret experiment that turns them into teanagers again. It is kind of confusing because the book goes back and forth from 2000 and 2085, but I highly recomend this book!
ReplyDeleteMy aunt has a Kindle and I have read off of it a lot. I like it better than a computer because the screen isn't as bright. You can also download books at your house which is very nice.
I am reading the book Mister Monday from the series The Keys to he Kingdom still. It is kinda like the Percy Jackson series, but a little more confusing. Now Arthur is trapped in a big, dark pit with these clockwork creatures, an eight foot tall giant which is chained to a giant clock, and a bunch of dwarfs. I recommend this book to anyone who likes a lot of action.

I a still reading Midnight Predator. It is a very good book. I would recommend the book and the whole series that it is in. I would also recommend this book to people who like to read vampire books.
ReplyDeleteI am reading a book called maximum ride! It's about 6 bird hybid kids who are being chased by the school. The school is a lab that is full of mad scientists who are creating DNA hybrids. But now they are "retireing" their hybrids and replacing them with robots. They have a plan; to reduce the worlds population by one- half. Now Max and her "brothers: and "sisters" are racing against time to stop world domination.
ReplyDeleteRight now i'm not reading a book, but I think everybody should read books, because they teach you things and some books are really good!!!! But I like mystery books, if you like mystery books than I will recommend any mystery book to YOU!!!
ReplyDeleteI am reading Jackie and Me by Dan Gutman. It is about a kid named Joe who can go back into time by baseball cards. He is going back into time to meet Jackie Robinson who played for the Brooklyn Dodgers. It is really good I recommend it to everybody who likes books about baseball.
ReplyDeleteI am reading how to steal a car by pete hautman. The book is now about Will and his friend wanting to steal his other friends hummer. After they get the car will said "hey lets see if the car will float or sink in the sink hole. One of them got out to see how close the hummer was to the edge of the sink hole. his friend says stop but the hummer doesn't. the car fell in and will is still in it. will gets out and swims to the surface and runs it's getting better i can tell.

I am still reading twilight! It is a great book! I would recommend it to everyone because it is great.It has a lot of drama, romance ,and secrets. IT is a very good book.

ReplyDeleteI am reading Ransom. It is a great book about four kids dealing with problems in there family so they decide to get away from it all and go do something to get there mind off of it. While there on there way back, it never said were they went but they took the bus back. When Amelia one of the four kids, dad came to get her, she said she would rather go on the bus with her friends. While they were on there way home on the bus the bus driver went by there stop. They all looked at eachother wondering why he went straight by. So Amelia went to the front and told him that he went by and he told her to shushhh. and pulled his gun out. He explained that the only reason he is doing it is to get ransom that when they all got scared, becasue ALL there parents are poor there would be no way. He said and if they dont give the money i will kill you. so yeah well thats all im at so far. I would recomend this to everyone. Its a GREAT book. :)

I am still reading among the brave. it is not a bad book. One of the main characture is t afrad to knock on a door of a guy who want to catch them. i recommend people should read it
ReplyDeleteI'm still reading the book Vampires Promise. It is an okay book i guess. I would recomend it. It's about a girl wanting to be popular so she lets this creepy vampire sucking a popular girls blood. So the other girl can be popular
ReplyDeleteI am still reading The Vampires Promise 2; Evil Returns and it is getting better each time I read it. This book is a mystery and if you like mysteries then I highly recommend this book.

I am reading Stuck in Nuetral! I would recomend it to every one. Its a good book he has radom seziers and thinks his dad is going to kill him. Its a very weird book.

It is about a boy named Percy Jakson and he is son of posiden and he is on a quest with his friends to kill demons and trap the in the underworld. It is not the greatest book in the world but im just reading this for the A.R points and i dont think it is interesting but i like the movies. There awsome movies and if you think i like weird books well then you just dont know me but i guesss it Ok. So ya see ya Peeps

I am still reading Everest it is very interesting book. Im not that far in my book yet. I would recommened this book to someone who like challenges situation. I wish there were more books to choose from and interesting books.
ReplyDeleteI am reading Percy Jackson and the Olympains, The Titans Curse.It is a good book alnog with the first and second book of the series.If you like reading books about mythical monsters then you should read these books.It is about a boy who is born a demigod (part god part human) who goes on dangerous quests to save the world from the evil Titan lord Kronos.Through out the whole series he is trying not to get killed by monsters.Read the book and you will be hooked on them!

ReplyDeleteThe book The Secret Garden is a very good book. I am not very far but it is very good. It is about a little girl who was very ugly when she was little so her mom locked her in a room. When she was 8 her mom and dad died. She did not care though because she barely knew her parents. She had to move in with her ucle. Her uncle left so she hasnt even met him yet. But she has a very nice made taking care of her. Marry's made told her to go outside and play> so she went outside and saw this garden that was locked. Marry was curious about wat the garden looks. Her uncle locked the garden when his wife died. This is how far I am. If you like mysterious i recomend this book for you.
ReplyDeleteI am reading the book The Gaurdian. It is about a boy that had to go to a foster home because he has no mother and his father has died. The kids name is Hunter and he is fourteen years old. Hunters foster mothers name Stephanie and he has to foster sisters, but his older sister and foster mom is realy mean to him.

ReplyDeleteI am reading the book "Speak" by Laurie Halse Anderson. Speak is about a 15 year old girl named Melinda who struggles with friends because of a mistake made at a back-to-school party by calling the police. But was it a mistake? She had to of called for a reason, but what is that reason bottled up in her head? Speak is a mind stricking book and I 100% recomend it. It is a great book.

ReplyDeleteI'm reading the book Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets it's about a teen age boy who is a wizard and goes to a wizard school and is trying to avoid bieng killed by the evil Lord Voldemort yet at the same time he is trying to kill him. I would not recemend it it is a pretty boring book.
ReplyDeleteThe island book 2 is a great book it has been an awesome book so far. Its about 6 kids get in a disaster and they float a drift on a raft. They have to learn to get along and laern how to survive with each other. I recomend this book to people that like to learn how to surive in a disaster.
ReplyDeleteSword Of The Rightful King is about this dude name Arthur, a prince named Gawaine, and his two brother named Agravaine, and Hwyll. Agravaine and Gawaine got into a fight, they where mad at each other for a long time.

ReplyDeleteI am reading Point Blank by Anthony Horowitz. It is a very good book. A rich man was killed by someone who they are trying to find because they think the same guy killed two people. Alex Rider followed a drug dealer and ended up wrecking the barge that he and his partner lived on. His agents came to get him and they had something for him to do. He was sent to a highly important guys house with his famiy to get into a school for kids who got kicked out of their old school. Alex had met his new family. His "sister" played a prank on him by taking him hunting with her friends and they were firing their guns at him. Alex ended up saving her live because there was a train that came through a tunnel every hour so they took a shortcut home and she ended up falling off of her horse. Alex came back with his horse and got her out. She asked him to kiss her but he rejected her. Mrs. Stellenbosch picked Alex up and they went to Paris. Alex was drugged and he was unconcious when his room was lowered and his clothes were stripped off of him and some people looked over him. His room raised back up and Alex never knew what happened. He took a helicopter to the scool and the school ended up having six students. Alex studied them and they all had the same personality except for one who just came to the school like him. His name was James and he was going to try to escape the school and ski down the whole mountain. Alex woke up the night James was trying to escape but he saw and heard James being dragged out by the guards. Alex decided to go upstairs to bed but James woke up and asked him what he was doing. Alex is getting very suspicious.
ReplyDeleteDeep and Dark and Dangerous is written by Mary Downing Hanhn is about a niece and her aunt and her aunt's daughter they go to her aunt's old cottage and they meet a lilltle gril named sissy.When Emma and her cousin go swimming in the lake and while they are swiming Sissy wants to joing and so she did and Sissy trys to drownd Emma. So they go and tell their aunt and their aunt and she says that they need to stay away from Sissy but Emmma doesnt want to and so she sneaks out during her nap and hangs out with her. This book is a really good mystery book I suggest you to read it.

Deep and dark and Dangerous is the worte Mary Dowing Hahn. This book is full of mysteries. Ali is the main character and she finds a picture with a girl ripped out of it. This picture belongs to her mom. She wants to know who the girl was. Her aunt came to see her and she wants Ali to go to a cabine. Ali's mom said no, bacause she said it is scary and not fun. Ali is wondering if something happend at the caben with the little girl. This book is a ghost story and is very interesting.

ReplyDeleteI am reading the book Among the Hidden. The author is Margaret Peterson Haddix. It is about this family and this town can only have two kids and the mom dident know that she would have two at one time because she had one kid already and she was about to have three kids.

ReplyDeleteI am reading Playing for keeps by Joan Lowery Nixon. This book is very fasinating with a little mystery im on page 37 and ALOT has happened already, so im thinking theres going to be alot more. RoseAnn is always being yelled at by her mom. so her grandma takes her on a cruise. Most of the passengers are disapearing. RoseAnn thinks she can get to the bottom of it. she thinks the old man Ken has something to do with it because of his late night rampages through the ship. I would recomend this book to everyone. Its a great mystery book if you like mysterys. :)
ReplyDeleteI am reading Influenza and Other Viruses by Judy Monroe tells about many flus and viruses and how to tell if you have them, how to treat them, and whether or not you should be worried about it. I would recommend this book to people trying to get facts on illneses. I would not recommend this book for people trying to find a reading book.
