Finally Easter is this week.  I never believed in the Easter Bunny when I was a kid.  Santa, yes, Easter Bunny, no.  Did you ever believe when you were little, that a magic rabbit delivered eggs and candy to kids?  Tell me your favorite Easter memory.  Then tell me your favorite kind of Easter candy, mine has to be Reeses Peanut Butter eggs.

This week I want your opinion.  Next school year the library will have what is called a public access catalog (PAC).  Everyone will be able to access the card catalog from any computer.  This will enable us to have ebooks and audiobooks to check out to your computers.  I would like to know what you think about reading on your computer.  I want to know if you have read a book, or long story on your computer before.  Do you think this will make reading easier, or more attactive?  I also want to know what you think about downloading an audiobook from our catalog.  Would listening to a book be better than reading it? 
Please tell everyone in your class to answer this blog question this week.  I want to know what you think of this.  Please be honest, your help will direct the ordering for next year.

It is offically Spring by the calendar.  Tell me what that means as far as the sun is concerned.  Why does spring come at a certain time on our calendar, and how is that date determined by where the sun is?  (hopefully that makes sense. I don't want to give you too many hints)

Also tell me about Easter.  How do we determine the date of Easter?  Why do we change it every year.  Try and find some history about Easter that will tell me more about this.

The Iditarod started Saturday.  Tell me what it is, where it is, how long it is, prizes, and anything else you can find on the Iditarod website that is interesting.  Find out and tell me who is in the lead, and look at some of the pictures on the website.  You have to pay to see many of the videos, but some are free.

I really think we need a week off from the blog, because of the turmoil that the snow and the cold have caused.  We will not have a required blog this week.  If you want to tell me how you enjoyed your unexpected vacation, that would be great. I will give you some extra credit points. Stay warm :)
